Blessington finished up their Frostbite Series and the season on Sunday 8th November. There were 9 entries and all 7 races were completed. The wind only let us down in one of the races, which was a total drifter. The rest of the races were in nice force 3 to 4 with the occasional force 6 to keep us awake. The series was won by Neil Mangan with various crews - the last one was a friend of Gary's who had just stayed over night and had never sailed before. Gary Mangan, in his first event, sailed single handed on a Dart 16 and ended up second overall. A full set of results can be see above. As the last race got closer, a few Blessington Cat sailors started to think of where to store their boats. Ballyholme was decided to be a good spot. So Ballyholme you've been warned, you may find a few Blesso Cats up sailing with you over the next few months.
