November Newsletter
Rob Doyle
News from the Deep South.
As you are all probably aware, one of the three 5.9s decided to commit suicide and tried to move a marina a few weeks ago. So we are back to two 5.9's and a Dart 16 in RCYC. Currently the Monkstown October open series is running with one race left and the Rob's are currently winning overall on PY. But that can all change if the wind is light this weekend; we live in hope for 15 plus knots of breeze.
We are running a frostbite series for cats and skiff's in November / December which is being sponsored by Subway, with a 1992 carbon America's cup runner block mounted on a carbon base as a trophy for first place (donated by Ron Holland) and a few cases of beer, it should solve the question about the skiffs and cats. The fleet will be made up of Hurricane 5.9's, Hobie 18, Dart 18, Dart 16s, B14's, Laser 5000's, Int 14's and 49er's, just let November / December blow. If anybody is interested in getting in drop me a fax or e-mail, it starts on Sunday in the second week
of November.
